Bone marrow aspiration and trephine biopsy are essential tests to diagnose and stage blood cancers, unexplained anaemia, low platelet counts and marrow disorders. Modern techniques with local anaesthesia and light sedation make the procedure quick and well tolerated.

Is a bone marrow biopsy painful?+
Most patients describe brief pressure rather than sharp pain. We use local anaesthesia and, if needed, mild sedation — you go home the same day.
How soon do I get results?+
Basic morphology is usually ready within 48 hours; flow cytometry and molecular results follow over 5–10 days depending on the panel.
