Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT)

Comprehensive autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplant evaluation and follow-up.

Under care of Dr. Ravi Jaiswal

Overview

Bone marrow transplant (also called stem cell transplant) replaces diseased marrow with healthy stem cells. It is a potentially curative treatment for leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma and some non-cancer blood disorders.

Dr. Ravi Jaiswal evaluates patients for autologous (own cells) and allogeneic (donor) transplant, coordinates the procedure at partner centres and manages pre- and post-transplant care in Raipur.

How we treat it

  • Full transplant eligibility workup
  • Autologous stem cell transplant for myeloma and lymphoma
  • Allogeneic transplant referral for leukemia
  • Donor search coordination (HLA matching)
  • Post-transplant follow-up and GVHD management

Frequently asked questions

How long does recovery take after a transplant?+

Initial recovery in hospital is typically 3–4 weeks. Full immune recovery takes 6–12 months, during which we monitor you closely.

Do I need a matched donor?+

Only for allogeneic transplants. Autologous transplants use your own stem cells and don't require a donor.
